English Area at Kampung Inggris, Creating the Real Situation for English as Second Language Acquisition

Abstract: A case study which is held in Kampung inggris, it located in Pare, Kediri Regency - East java. It has been known by the public as a largest number of English language courses in Indonesia. Over there, in addition to be found English language courses in general, There are to be found English area which is also become part of English language course. English area is such a boarding house which has some regulation related with English language learning. The students who join in English area require speaking English every day without any compensation. Based on the results of the research, program applied in English area has been proven effectively to increase students’ motivation and capability of English. Hence, during holiday, there are several school and also pesantren which is doing cooperation with several English areas for program bedhol sekolah or bedhol pesantren in purpose to increase their students’ motivation and capability in English, especially in speaking. In short, English as Second language acquisition situation was created there.
